Creative Writers' Retreat — July 2026
Tell Your Story, Your Way — a one-day writing retreat for memoir, personal narrative, and the intergenerational stories you carry. Co-led by Angie and guest facilitator Ann, we'll help you shape what you've lived into something readable, cultivate an authentic voice, and root your work alongside a small cohort of writers.
This retreat is for you if you want to:
- Shape your personal story into a narrative
- Develop your writing skills and tell your story with confidence
- Deepen connection and reflection alongside fellow writers
Date & Schedule:
- Saturday, July 25, 2026 — 9 AM to 5 PM (studio opens at 8 AM for breakfast & meditation)
- Sunday, July 26, 2026 — optional add-on activities
Saturday at a glance: 9 AM welcome → 10:30 AM featured talk on narrative voice → 11:15 AM independent writing → 12 PM lunch (provided) → 1 PM group mindfulness (yoga, walk, or meditation) → 2 PM featured talk on sustained writing, the inner critic, and publishing pathways → 2:30 PM independent writing → 3:30 PM small-group feedback → 5 PM close.
Sunday optional: 8 AM open studio · 9 AM 30-minute 1:1 coaching with Ann (limited slots) · 12 PM Sunday brunch & craft (studio open until 3 PM).
What's included: All instruction and prompts, lunch on Saturday, group mindfulness session, access to studio resources both days.
To prepare: We'll share a short list of optional essays to read ahead. Bring a laptop, tablet, or notebook — whatever you write best in.
Capacity: 10 writers — intimate by design.

Care & maintenance
Each piece is made to last with a little tending. Trim wicks to a quarter inch before lighting, burn in stretches of two to four hours, and store on a flat surface away from direct sun. Care notes for non-candle items are tucked into the product description above — if anything is unclear, write to us and we’ll walk you through it.
Shipping & returns
We ship from our Toronto studio within three business days. Local Toronto pickup is available at 3317 Yonge St, Unit 4 — choose “Pickup” at checkout. If something arrives and isn’t quite right, write to us within fourteen days and we’ll make it right.
